Hi Everyone,
I'll keep this short & sweet. I was going through my Faire gear which I keep neatly folded in a storage bin in my closet and was devastated to find that somehow mold had started to grow on my leather shoes & suede bodice. I'm not too concerned about the shoes, they can be replaced, however I'm desperate to hear if anyone has a good solution to cleaning the suede bodice. I'm very loathe to wash it as it could very well destroy the knap of the leather....help please!

I am afraid that there is little hope for your suede bodice. Mold is remarkably difficult to clean and kill. The spores are very resilient and on porous surfaces really dig in. I have used CaviCide by Metrix laboratories and DepHyze by Log 7 Solutions to kill mold. However, for porous surfaces both require a near saturation of the substrate with the solution, almost certainly ruining the suede. The recommendation to consult a professional dry cleaner is probably your best chance.
