Re: Heart of the Forest pix?
Fri, February 6, 2009 - 10:20 AMI have a ton of both years of Marin. But not many are of court, as I wasn't involved there. I have quite a few of the Reveler's garden and some of when the Queen visited there. But they really aren't "poster child" quality. -

Sat, February 7, 2009 - 1:31 AM"both years of Marin"?
That actually makes me sad since there were 4 years at the Stafford Lake site. -

Re: Heart of the Forest pix?
Sat, February 7, 2009 - 8:58 AMhaha Karsten - I noticed that when I went to danceslut's photo page. And I was thinking that I went more than 2 years, myself. Then it occured to me that I hadn't bought my digital camera til 2004, and so for some reason my brain must have decided that if I don't have photographic evidence, then it must not exist.
But I'm sure I had fun those earlier years, too....

Re: Heart of the Forest pix?
Fri, February 13, 2009 - 12:32 PMI have lots, of both places.
I've been to the Patterson Faires since the mid 60's -- even in Laurel Canyon!
In Santa Barbara was the fellow with the stuffed-horse carousel -- same fellow who pushed me around as a child at earlier faires. What a treat. He was only at Santa Barbara for a few hours...
The funniest thing I have seen at any Ren Faire was the manzanita wood marionettes of Folly's Fables in San Francisco. I saw it at the Santa Barbara Faire in 1999 or 2000 and laughed so hard I couldn't take a picture. What I wouldn't give for some pics of that (like when the Devil pissed all over the audience!)
